“Don’t ever save anything for a special occasion. Being alive is the special occasion.” 💛// Y’all – This one’s near & dear today. So please listen up! Life is too short to let it slip by. We’re not here forever. Don’t ever forget to ✨L I V E ✨while you’re alive… 🎉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀When everything is said and done, at the end of the day, no one really cares what or how many earthly things you’ve accomplished – all that really matters is what’s in your heart and how you made people feel. You’re way too important to not fully embrace the time (& circumstances) you’ve been given. You never know when it could end.
Your life is a gift… and NOT just to you. The world needs your light. The world needs YOU. Make your mark! You alone can make an impact, to millions & more… by doing what you do & being who you are. Speak words of kindness and open your heart. Don’t be afraid of dying. Rather, live each and every day with all of your heart.
Why am I saying all of this?👇🏻
I’ve been kinda at a loss for words on the blog front until now… Don Logana, an incredible co-worker of mine/morning anchor + reporter WTOC-TV and friend to ALL, was tragically killed in a car accident Sunday.💔 I was working at the time, so unfortunately I was one of the first to know. I had to help break the devastating news to our #WTOCFamily & viewers across all digital/social platforms. My job is a constant reminder that everything as we know it can change in the blink of an eye… But this story was different. It involved one of our very own. This was a complete, unbelievable shock. It’s still a little hard to grasp. Please keep my co-workers and his family in your prayers tonight. And for a while.
Don was a genuine, ‘life of the party’ kinda guy with a huge heart to match his awesome personality. I was lucky to get to know/ work with him for as long as I did. He was ADORED in the newsroom, in Savannah & far beyond. Don LOVED life, and life loved him back. I can’t describe the overwhelming amounts of love & support we’ve received at the station since it happened, as well as the heartbreaking, yet inspiring reactions from those super close to him & complete strangers alike – who felt like after all of these years of watching him & his bright smile on TV that he was a part of their family. It goes to show how much one person can impact the world in BIG ways. In his case, millions.
Rest In Peace, WTOC Don Logana You’ll be truly missed. #thesunshinewithin // 🙏🏻💕☀️
